The FD2 Civic type R was officially released in Japan on March 29.
The Civic type R 4 door sedan comes with a Front mounted engine Front wheel drive,
The engine is powered by a specially tuned 2.0-liter K20A i-VTEC engine.
The K20A engine performance has been enhanced by surfacing of the head-port,
And adopting the DBW (Drive-By-Wire) plus tuning of the intake exhaust manifolds.
The Civic type R also benefits from a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission.

To achieve better performance the Civic type R has adopted;
A lightweight and rigid body shell,
Performance   suspension, 
Tuned ABS / EBD system,
Ground gripping 18 inches Potenza tyres
And 17 inches front disc brakes with Brembo 4-pot aluminium callipers.

The Civic type R is equipped with exclusive aero parts,
hood fenders,
Type R red emblems,
Special Honda R spec seats,
New steering wheel,
A short stroke sports shift,
Metal pedals,
And engine starter button.
